After amassing more than 170 million users in the US in less than seven years, TikTok is now facing a complete ban if a deal is not made with its parent company ByteDance before 5 April. TikTokhas already disappeared from Apple and Google app stores ahead of the law taking effect on Saturday, which requires ByteDance to sell the video-sharing app to a US owner due to national security concerns. The Indian government cited security issues with the app, claiming that alleged ties between ByteDance and the Chinese government posed a threat to Indias sovereignty.Other countries and areas, including the UK and European Union, have put partial bans in place, which prevent government work...

Conservative CNN pundit Scott Jennings argued that the Signal leak has been blown out of proportion as he butted heads with a New York Times reporter on Laura Coates Live.Lulu Garcia-Navarro, a podcast host at the Times, hypothesized that if war plans had been leaked to a reporter under a Democratic administration, I think, Scott, you would have been the first person to call for those peoples resignation. But Jennings hit back that hypotheticals were unnecessary pointing to the bomb attack that killed 13 service members in Afghanistan in a disastrous military operation.3As Garcia-Navarro argued that the two incidents were completely different, Jennings exclaimed: Who died? The laws also expand existing protection against hate speech previously limited to race and religion to include disability, gender identity, sex and sexual orientation. To secure the bills passage through parliament, the Victorian Labor government struck a deal with the Greens to add several safeguards, including requiring police and the courts to consider the social, historical, and cultur...

Yet while it was neither unexpected nor particularly surprising, there is more to it than simple dissatisfaction with an underperforming driver. Replacing him with Yuki Tsunoda was a U-turn that indicates fundamental problems the team are facing, ones to which they are unlikely to find a quick fix, and that Max Verstappen is unhappy at their performance and indeed their prospects for the new season.Lawson, who had already looked shell-shocked by the close of the second race in China last weekend, was left entreating the team to give him just a little more time.
