Moody 33 MkII REF#333172

Register with Boatshed to see 72 extra photos of this Moody 33 MkII .Moody Yachts have a loyal following by their owners, who will stay with the class and move up in size. This one is exceptionally well presented by her owner and is in a condition that is a credit to the couple who have looked after her with loving care. She has had many upgrades including new rigging, new engine and some new instruments amongst others. The Moody 33 is a boat designed by Angus Primrose for family cruising with blue water cruising capability. She is a steady boat that can handle adverse weather conditions safely, yet is easy to handle and rewarding to sail. The accommodation has 6 berths with a double in the forward cabin. The heads are starboard with a hanging locker opposite. The main saloon has ample room around the cabin table with 2 settee berths. The galley is to port with the navigation station opposite. The aft cabin converts to a double berth, which the owners tell me is very comfortable which is due to the thick mattress. The cockpit is a good size and is well protected by the large sprayhood. In 2015 a Beta 36 hp engine was fitted, which can reach speeds of 8 knots but she will cruise happily at 6 knots plus. This is important against an adverse tide or when you need to get to the restaurant on time! If you are currently in the market for a good quality cruising boat, that is ready to go, please book an appointment to view. This is not a boat to be missed! Moody 31 Mk1 REF#333027

2024-05-10 10:46:27| Boatshed.com Recent Boats

Register with Boatshed to see 78 extra photos of this Moody 31 Mk1 .Moody yachts are renowned for their quality production and finish. The 31 MK1 is no exception. Regarded as one of the best mid size bilge keel yachts of her generation. "Christina" is a well found example with plenty to like. She was re engined in 2011 although you'd be forgiven for thinking the low hours Volvo MD 1-30 was fitted yesterday- see video. In original condition with little tampering, the quality 'Moody' finish is evident both below decks and externally. Some age related wear, as expected can be seen although with a little elbow grease, this feels like a boat that could very well shine once again. With her low hours engine, bilge keels and Moody badge, this is not one to miss for anyone seeking a mid size Yacht ideally suited to local and distance cruising. We welcome all enquiries and viewing requests. These boat details are subject to contract.
