Safe, stable, easy to launch and retrieve and great fun to sail. "Sapphire" is a really interesting example. the hull was supplied by Churchhouse Boats with the rest of the construction, 'home built' to what appears to be a very high standard. Everywhere there are indications of 'only the best will do'. For example, the masts are made of carbon fibre, the standing rigging, dyneema and the R & J Sails (in excellent shape) battened and colour coded to match the hull. There is electric, with onboard battery, panel and 12 volt socket. The forepeak converts to form a double berth, providing 'camping' style accommodation with ample stowage provided throughout. The cockpit and camper covers have, at some stage been separated from the boat (the camper frame is intact and included). The boat has been dry stored but would benifit from a cover if exposed to the elements for any length of time. Road trailer and 2.3hp Honda outboard are included with the sale, making this an attractive package, ready for use this summer. These boat details are subject to contract. This a modern, spacious cruiser very well presented in original gel coat throughout. She has a full size double cabin under the cockpit plus a forward double and a single in the large open plan saloon. There is a good sized shower and heads compartment to starboard. The use of space is nothing short of amazing in the length of the boat. She feels bigger inside than she looks outside and is a very comfortable, light and airy place to be. Her upholstery all appears to be in good condition, as is the light oak woodwork. She is comprehensively equipped for cruising the Broads with diesel warm air heating, fridge and full pressurised hot water system with shower plus a toilet holding tank. Her carpets are all in good shape and the headlining's are similarly very good. There are a couple of small areas of headlining edge trims that could do with minor attention bit this does not detract from the visual impression and is very minor indeed. She has a tidy 2009 Beta twin cylinder diesel delivering 14hp and is a well starting and running serviced motor that is very frugal and incredibly quiet! She was out of the water for antifouling and full clean, compound and polish in 2023 and a new anode was also fitted. She had a new canopy in 2021 by Bailey and Stone who also made the new cockpit cushions that are currently stacked in the aft cabin. Her Boat Safety Certificate runs to March 2027. She will make a vey nice cruiser for a couple or a small family and is a modern and stylish vessel that will not disappoint These boat details are subject to contract. Manufactured by Westerly marine construction as an improved layout to the successful Westerly 33. This particular yacht is the bilge keel version. On arrival at the yacht on the swinging mooring it appeared to be a well used and a functional yacht. Once onboard it appeared to be well maintained and ready to sail. A wheel helm controlled cockpit complete with solar panels, 240v inverter and charger. Recent upgrades include Engine serviced (2024) Renewed Water pump (2024) Renewed coachroof windows (2023) Renewed solar panels, upgraded to 700W (2021) This is a fine example of the Westerly Discus which has been cared for during the current ownership.
