The Viking 22 is a very popular boat suited to both coastal and river cruising with its planing hull. The interior is a very usable layout with a good size shower compartment, an L shaped galley and good size forward cabin that converts to a double bed and located aft is mid-cabin that can ac comodate two people. During the past 10 years her current owner has made several considerable improvements to this lovely little boat including a new Sole 2 cyl 14hp diesel engine which has covered only 67 hours from new. The engine bay is spotless as this was cleaned primed and re painted before installation. She also has a new hot water calorifier, new wiring, new diesel fired cabin heating, strengthened stainless mast supports, new fwd cabin hatch, new fuel and water tanks, new bowsprit to name a few. The entire standing rigging was renewed in 2024. She also has a mast lowering device designed by her current owner. There is a huge amount of paperwork including the original drawings and everything since. the are numerous spares included for the engine and the boat itself. There are several improvement to "the norm" when it comes to wiring and accessibility and various functions added. This really is a go anywhere motor sailor offering an aft cabin with 2 single berths in the aft cabin and a fore cabin offering 1-2 berths, Given the owners recent expenditure this boat (in my opinion) offers exceptional value for money only requiring cosmetic finishes. Based in Hampshire on the south coast of the UK, their heritage is powerboat racing with countless championship wins under their belts. Looking at her from outboard her lines say speed, the only giveaway there is is the bowthruster tunnel, fitted during her major refit in 2004/05. Step aboard however, and you'll see the style that sets Huntons apart from the rest! Teak decking, smart white upholstery in the cockpit and below the finish of Alcantara and again teak give her a luxurious and comfortable feel. The forepeak has a double berth, slightly raised to make it snug, and the saloon seating provides good sized singles if required. The heads and galley are practical and clean with ample storage for weekenders and the cockpit enclosure keeps the weather out (and the lovely white upholstery clean!). Until recently she was stored under cover but she's currently afloat having had a drive service and hull polish and is available for easy inspection. These boat details are subject to contract.
