Irish Grand National live updates and more from the big race at Fairyhouse

2025-05-10 07:45:04| Spiritual Career Counseling

The BoyleSports Irish Grand National takes centre stage today as 30 runners go to the post for the biggest prize in Irish jumps racing. From Desert Orchid to Bobbyjo to I Am Maximus, this race has been won by some of horse racing's most famous names. And this year's edition has the makings of another fascinating contest. Willie Mullins has reigned supreme again this season and will look to add to his Aintree Grand National success. Having already saddled two Grade 1 winners at Fairyhouse on Sunday, Mullins runs two horses in today's feature race. Paul Townend will be on board the Michael O'Leary-owned Quai De Bourbon, who will need to shoulder a big weight to victory. Mullins' team is dwarfed, though, by the team of Gavin Cromwell. The Meath trainer is running seven in the race, including the JP McManus-owned Bioluminescence, who has been heavily backed in recent days. The big race is scheduled at 5pm but there are also plenty of great races to look forward to on the rest of the card....

West Ham can defend and attack but not at the same time. They are paying the price for the errors made in the transfer market by their former technical director Tim Steidten. They have an ageing, unbalanced squad and it is not going to be easy for Kyle Macaulay, who has been in charge of recruitment since Steidtens departure two months ago, to fix everything this summer.Patience is required. Money has been wasted on players with no resale value, leaving the club in an awkward spot. Finances are tight and a spending spree is unlikely. West Ham, who deserve a kicking for their failure to build on three consecutive seasons in Europe under David Moyes, could be waiting a while before they are able to push for a top-six finish again.West Hams Paquetá in limbo as spot-fixing hearing adjourned until summerRead moreThe success of the Moyes era has faded. West Ham were right to part company with the Scot last summer but the succession plan was a disaster. Julen Lopetegui was the wrong choice...

A Texas man who says Titans cornerback LJarius Sneed or his personal assistant shot at him while he was sitting inside a Mercedes-Benz on a dealer lot in December is suing the two-time Super Bowl champ for at least $1 million.Christian Nshimiyimana was sitting inside the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon on Dec. 6 in Carrollton, Texas. Neither he nor anyone else was hit by bullets fired from a Lamborghini Urus driving past One Legacy Motors. Much of what happened is redacted in the police report obtained by The Associated Press.Attorney Levi McCathern said in a statement Friday that Sneed and his accomplice were arrested by the Carrollton Police Department for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after the shooting but have yet to answer for it. McCathern also accused Sneed and a woman who identified herself as Sneeds mother of calling and threatening Nshimiyimana afterward, wanting him to not cooperate with police or retain an attorney. The proof is there, McCathern said. There is video su...
