The longtime drummer for the band has been let go for a second time, and presumably for good, in advance of the group going out on a farewell tour news that was made public on social media first by guitarist Pete Townshend, then confirmed by a displeased Starkey.Starkey said that he had been asked to claim he was quitting this time of his own accord instead of being fired, but this would be a lie.
