Heute, am 26. Oktober, wurden die Server von Kingdom Under Fire 2 abgeschaltet. Das Spiel bot eine interessante Mischung aus RTS- und MMORPG-Inhalten. Es wurde vor dem Release sehnsüchtig erwartet, doch enttäuschte. Viele Spieler geben dem deutschen Publisher Gameforge eine Mitschuld.Kingdom Under Fire 2 ist tot. Sowohl auf Steam als auch im Gameforge-Client wurden die Server des Spiels um 10:00 Uhr deutscher Zeit abgeschaltet. Nun gibt es keine Chance mehr, das MMO von Blueside im Westen zu spielen.Warum wurde es abgeschaltet? Einen offiziellen Grund nannte der Publisher Gameforge nicht. Allerdings dürfte die geringe Spielerzahl ein großes Problem gewesen sein:Auf Steam waren im September im Durchschnitt nur 14 Spieler gleichzeitig online. Im Peak waren es gerade mal 37 gleichzeitig (via Steamcharts).Wie viele Spieler der Gameforge-Client hatte ist zwar unbekannt, doch die Zahl dürfte nach den Erfahrungen, die wir selbst Anfang 2020 in dem Spiel gemacht haben, nicht viel größer gewese...
